Counselling psychologist Dr. Desiree Scarpellini contacted me recently because she needed new headshots and Branding Photography. For instance, she wanted a selection or images for her website and also an updated profile picture on Linkedin.
CONSULTATION
So we had a chat to clarify her needs. This is because the style of image depends on what you do. For example, if you’re a lawyer, you’ll probably opt for something formal. But if you’re an artist, you’ll want to show off your personality. Lots of my clients feel apprehensive at first. That’s to say, they don’t like having their photo taken! But we had a great time. Firstly, we tried out various ideas and light settings. Then we took the photographs.

My home studio is very versatile with lots of natural light as well as studio lighting. In addition, I can take contemporary lifestyle images in the adjoining garden. Once the final photographs were uploaded to a personal online gallery, Desiree selected her three favourites. After that, she received the digital files which she can now use as she pleases.
